Did you know that I am a rare, precious gem in humankind?
Okay, so it is pretty funny. Only a bit above 1% of the 95 million people who've taken the 16 Personalities test so far have the INFJ personality type. (Introvert, Intuitive, Feeling , Judging). Then, this small group is further separated by Turbulent (me) and Assertive (so-not-me but I like to think I am).
In my day job as a school librarian, my "Advocate" label makes complete sense in this context. I was proud to see that come up in my results. "Diplomat". Okay, sure. I can see that sort of. (A little digging showed me that us Diplomats tend to emotionally eat so there's that.)
A quick peek at the strengths and weaknesses of this personality type really makes a good case for the accuracy of this test. Yes, I am creative minded but can't solve a technical problem to save my life. Yes, I am very decisive. Very. Enough said. And my convictions have changed over time to reflect what I believe is in the best interest of humankind instead of just Mandy. Yes, I am a perfectionist. I want to be praised for a job well done rather than being a good person. (Maybe one day I really could be an assassin then? I don't know.) Finally, yes, I burn out easily. I give and give until I drop like a used space shuttle launch rocket.
One of my besties though? ENFJ-A. Extrovert and Assertive, but I think the A should be for Awesome! Extroverted, charming, and giving. Selfless to a fault (seriously, it's listed in her weaknesses section as it should be.)
I started to wonder...how much does that play into our friendship? We're only 2 letters apart, and it's a perfect combination. We laugh a lot, keep each other motivated, share each other's burdens, and have a (mostly) thoughtful relationship. Perhaps it's this 2 letter difference that makes it magical.
Well, I'm off to test my husband and my theory! Let me know! What are your results? Are your besties close to yours?
Don't know? Here's the link to the free online test:
P.S. Stay tuned! I am going to take the test as Vita and Tristan! Results to come...
